Summary:
Ancient Athens, 5th century BC. At a time when women were expected to remain silent, three great male playwrights – Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides – gave them a voice, and what they said was anything but ordinary.
Their stories tell of women who faced moral dilemmas and chose different paths: silence, sacrifice, endurance, but also resistance or revenge.
These heroines embody archetypes that do not only belong to the past, but continue to shape our values and choices even today.
An interactive seminar that introduces us to ancient Greek tragedy and the study of archetypes
